On a trip to London on the train, I happened to be looking out of the right window at the right time. As we approached Euston and at the point where many train tracks converge, I noticed graffiti scrawled across a huge concrete wall at the side of the track.

"Yo! Punish!", it read, in letters six feet tall.

I had (and still have) no idea what this cryptic message referred to or how the hell the artist had managed to spray-paint it where he/she had, but I liked it. It summed up the anonymity, bleakness and, ultimately, the isolation that a big city bestows upon each of its citizens.
